When we were in Italy we stayed with a man and his wife in the northern part of the country.  He talked about all the dialects in Italy and said that if he met someone from Naples he would not be able to understand them!  Keeping that in mind, today we took a train from the Italian speaking part of Switzerland and got off in the German speaking part of Switzerland.  And in a weeks time the Swiss will be speaking French.  That's pretty wild.

Once we got off the train we did a walking tour of Zurich.  There was a music festival going on and we sat for a while and listened to the Swiss Army Band.

Train station in Lugano

Central train station in Zurich - one of the largest in Europe.

The Swiss Army band playing on one of Zurich's plazas.

St. Peter's Church - has the largest clock face in all Europe (28.3 feet).

We stayed with a young man in his flat tonight and had nice talks about life in Switzerland.
